How to properly maintain CNC lathes?
Update:2024-01-30

CNC lathes are very important processing equipment in modern industrial production. They are used frequently and require corresponding care and maintenance. Correct care and maintenance can extend the service life of CNC lathes, improve work efficiency, and reduce maintenance costs. This article will explain how to properly maintain a CNC lathe to keep it in working order.

1. Daily maintenance

Routine maintenance is the basis for ensuring the normal operation of CNC lathes. The following tasks need to be done before and after daily use:

(1) Clean the work surface and workbench, and keep the appearance of the machine tidy.

(2) Inspect and maintain power, brake, oil and air pressure.

(3) Check and replace tool blades to avoid blade wear affecting machining accuracy.

(4) Check the hydraulic oil and hub bearing oil leakage, replace the lubricating oil and clean the belt.

(5) Inspect and maintain the CNC system to ensure that the electrical components are normal and the heat dissipation is good.

2. Regular maintenance

In addition to daily maintenance, more detailed maintenance work is also required on a regular basis. The maintenance cycle can be determined according to the working conditions and machine usage time. The recommended maintenance cycle is generally every 3-6 months.

(1) Regularly check the operating status of various components such as the mainboard, terminal, I/O card and driver of the CNC system.

(2) Check the accuracy and processing quality of the main shaft and satellite wheel, and adjust and repair them.

(3) Lubricate and adjust the guide rail and solenoid rod to ensure their good operating condition.

(4) Check the oil circuit, oil pipe, oil seal and oil pump of the hydraulic system, and replace the hydraulic oil.

(5) Check the working status of the air circuit, air pressure, cylinder and valve of the pneumatic system to ensure its normal operation.

3. Professional maintenance

Even with daily maintenance and regular maintenance, some faults and problems may still occur during use of CNC lathes. At this time, professional maintenance and repairs are required. You usually need to find professional maintenance personnel. Do not disassemble or replace equipment parts yourself to avoid causing greater damage to the equipment.

To sum up, CNC lathes are important machines in the production process and require good care and maintenance. In addition to daily maintenance, regular maintenance of CNC lathes and more detailed maintenance work can extend the service life of the equipment, improve its work efficiency, improve production efficiency, and achieve economic benefits.
